The simple answer is that we produce films, television series, commercials, documentaries and digital content.
The better answer? We chase ideas that refuse to leave us alone.
Sometimes they arrive as a scribble on a napkin. Sometimes as a half-finished script. Sometimes as a conversation over coffee that was supposed to last ten minutes and somehow became a four-hour debate about life, love, politics and why every production is always one day behind schedule.
At FilmAsia, we believe stories are among humanity's greatest inventions.
Long before there were cameras, there were stories. Long before there were streaming platforms, there were stories. Long before somebody decided a meeting could have been an email, there were stories.

For decades, Malaysia has sat quietly at the crossroads of Asia. A place where cultures meet, languages blend and ideas collide. A place capable of doubling as almost anywhere in the world, while offering a perspective entirely its own.
From this corner of Southeast Asia, we have built relationships that stretch across borders, industries and continents, not because we set out to build a network but because storytelling naturally brings people together.
Today, FilmAsia works with producers, studios, broadcasters, brands, investors and creative talent across Asia and Europe. Through our regional presence in Southeast Asia and our European gateway through FilmEuro in Munich, we help create opportunities that might otherwise never happen. The introduction that leads to a partnership, the conversation that becomes a co-production, the idea that grows into a feature film and the film that finds an audience halfway around the world.
Of course, there are contracts. There are schedules. There are budgets, permits, spreadsheets and countless emails. Nobody escapes those. But behind every successful international collaboration is something far more important … trust and understanding and people who know how to navigate different cultures without losing the heart of the story. That's what we do.
Because stories don't care where borders are drawn. They care about where they can go and if a story has the courage to travel, we're here to help it get there.

Malaysia and Southeast Asia possess extraordinary visual diversity. We invite property owners, estates, businesses, industrial spaces, heritage sites, and unique environments to register as filming locations.
FilmAsia is constantly discovering new acting talent, performers, presenters, and personalities. We welcome actors, models, theatre performers, voice talents, dancers, and new faces. All backgrounds, experience levels, ethnicities, age groups and genders are welcome.
FilmAsia is building a growing network of technical and creative professionals. Applications are welcomed across camera department, lighting, grip, art department, costume, makeup, production management, sound, post-production, and visual effects.
Our internship programme provides real-world exposure to filmmaking operations and production environments. We believe talent grows fastest through experience. FilmAsia interns work alongside active productions, creative teams, and industry professionals.
Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the future of filmmaking, and FilmAsia is building a dedicated AI Production Unit to lead that transformation. We are looking for creative thinkers, visual artists, filmmakers, designers, and innovators passionate about combining storytelling with emerging technologies.
